மதியநேரத்து அவலம் - தாயொருத்தியின் கதறல்

நேற்று (29.01.2008) வன்னிப் பகுதியிலுள்ள மடுப் பகுதியில் பொதுமக்கள் பயணித்த பேருந்து மீது சிறிலங்காப் படையினர் நடத்திய தாக்குதலில் குழந்தைகள், பாடசாலைச் சிறுவர்களுட்பட 20 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டனர்; மேலும் பலர் காயமடைந்தனர். இத்துயரச் சம்பவத்திற் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட தாயொருத்தியின் கதறலைக் கேளுங்கள். தமது சொந்தக் கிராமமான பெரிய பண்டிவிரிச்சானிலிருந்து சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்னர்தான் மேரியின் குடும்பம் இடம்பெயர்ந்திருந்தது. கடந்த ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை சிறிலங்காப் படையினர் நடத்திய எறிகணை வீச்சில் இத்தாயின் குழந்தையொன்று கடுமையாகக் காயமுற்று வைத்தியசாலையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. வைத்தியசாலையிலேயே தங்கிநின்று அக்குழந்தையைக் கவனித்து வந்தாள் மேரி. மிகக் கடுமையான நிலையிலிருந்த குழந்தைக்குத் திங்கட்கிழமைதான் நினைவு திரும்பியது. தாயையும், தமது சகோதரத்தையும் பார்ப்பதற்காக மேரியின் மற்றைய பிள்ளைகள் செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை வைத்தியசாலைக்குச் சென்றனர். திருமணம் முடித்துள்ள மேரியின் மூத்தமகள் தனது ஒன்றரை வயதுக் குழந்தையையும் தமது சகோதரர்களையும் வைத்தியாசலைக்கு அழைத்து வந்திருந்தாள். மதியநேரம் வைத்தியசாலையிலிருந்து மது தற்காலிக இருப்பிடங்களுக்குப் பேருந்திற் பயணித்தனர். அப்பேருந்தே படையினரின் தாக்குதலுக்கு இலக்கானது. ஏற்கனவே தனது குழந்தையொன்றை வைத்தியசாலையிற் பராமதித்து வந்த மேரி, திரும்பிச் சென்ற மற்றப் பிள்ளைகளும் தாக்குலுக்குள்ளாகிய நிலையில் அதே வைத்தியசாலைக்கு எடுத்து வரப்பட்டதைப் பார்த்தாள். பதினெட்டு மாதமான தனது பேரப்பிள்ளைக்கு என்ன நடந்ததென்றே தெரியாத நிலையில் அத்தாய் கதறுகிறாள். அவளின் ஒலிவடிவச் செவ்வி இங்கு இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
